A new report conducted by Javelin Strategy and Research revealed that 30 percent of patients would leave their healthcare provider if a data breach occurred. Twenty-four percent of respondents said they would find a new bank if their data was compromised.
"I think the straw breaking the camel's back is customers now in droves are being inconvenienced [by breaches]. They never thought it could happen to them," explained Javelin senior analyst Al Pascual, according to Dark Reading. Now, they think 'This can happen to me.''
